Installing (Tein) Hood Dampeners on a 1990-1993 Honda Accord CB7

Just showing how I did my hood dampeners. There are some OEM ones that will work here too, but would be installed backwards (sorry can't remember what vehicle they are from; if anyone knows please add).

One end bolted under the fender in this fashion. I believe one hole may be there but you still have to drill and tap a 2nd hole.

The upper portion you tap and drill on the side of the OEM hinge. This has worked fine for me for several years.

It was definitely the Acura Legend that people used to get struts for. That's what I did on my first CB. Probably from the second gen.

I connected mine exactly like yours, only got lazy and just did one of the bolt holes in the bottom bracket, lol. Legends orient them differently, though.

Found pics of a Gen 1 Legend:

And a Gen 2:

Ah yes, thanks. I have never seen this way before. I've still seen another way in which the dampener is reverse of mine and still uses the OEM hood hinge point. Can't remember what it was though.
